For our customers in US and Canada:
As a customer from the United States and Canada you don’t pay the Dutch Taxes(BTW). So customers of these countries can buy 19% cheaper as the Dutch customers. As the shipping costs to these countries are much higher you can apply the (TAX) discount to eliminate the high shippingcosts.
Example:
A product in the Netherlands costs € 100,00(incl.TAX). The customers in US and Canada pay for this product € 84,03 (no TAX). So by a purchase of € 100,00 your profit is almost € 16,00. With this profit you eliminate the shipping cost by € 16,00
When a customer registers as an US or Canadian occupier and his/her living country enters in the Country field, the Dutch prices are automatically displayed without the Dutch Taxes (minus 19%). You don't see this discount by displaying the prices or shoppingcart, but they are really deducted by the TAX.
